There is a good news for chocolate lovers. Scientists have researched that people who eat chocolate on daily basis remain slim.
This research has been resulted from a study of nearly 1,000 US people who took this diet. In this research scientists found that people who eat chocolate few times a week remain on an average, but slimmer than those people who eat chocolate occasionally.
Scientists believe that even chocolate is filled with calories but it contains some ingredients which may favour weight loss rather than fat synthesis. But the study found no link with chocolate quantity which is being consumed by us.
Dr Beatrice Golomb who is from the Universityof California at San Diego said that: “Our findings appear to add to a body of information suggesting that the composition of calories, not just the number of them, matters for determining their ultimate impact on weight.”
Dr Beatrice Golomb thinks that catechins (antioxidant compounds) can help to improve lean muscle mass which reduces our weight.
Scientists also believe that chocolate is good for heart too and helps to make some excellent changes in cholestrol level, insulin sensitivity and blood pressure.
But eating too much chocolate might be harmful for us because it mostly contains a lot of sugar and fat also.
